Ranar Screen Printing Equipment

Please take the time to explore the screenprinting equipment that Catspit Productions and Ranar have to offer. Do you need an infrared conveyor dryer? Do you need an electric forced air belt dryer? How about pad print ovens? Flash cure units? I also offer Ranar UV exposure units with LED and black lamp fluorescent bulbs. Together, Ranar and Catspit Productions have a great variety of screen printing presses, machines, and other equipment.

Ranar Manufacturing Company was originally in El Segundo, California. Ranar was founded by a screen-printing shop in the early days. At some point it was called RanArt. The entire story begins around 1971. When the original owner began making screenprinting equipment, he designed it based on his practical knowledge and real screen printing experiences. I may know more about Ranar than the new Ranar. What does “CBX” stand for on the little tabletop exposure unit from Ranar? Don’t know? I can tell you. Give me a call.

Catspit Productions offers a wide range of screen printing equipment from different manufacturers including Ranar. But remember, Catspit and Ranar have been working together for many years. I am very proud of the relationship I built with the former owners. As a team, we streamlined the product line and introduced unique new products. Take a moment and remember when…

Catspit universalized the bench press line with all the floor presses. When I first started working with Ranar, after David Walker called me, their bench presses did not have the same pallet mounting system as their floor presses. I lobbied for at least 2 years to make that happen. Making the product line more efficient to manufacture and better for customers who owned both bench presses and floor presses from Ranar. I called the new bench presses by a new name. The only difference was the “C” at the end. Ranar never adopted this internally. Check out the video I made after the show in Long beach when I brought this prototype printing press home to the Cat Lair…

I may have asked Ranar to redesign the Vista series floor presses to have the same pallet arm mounting system as the higher end Elite Series II before we upgraded the bench presses. I would have to research my over 600 videos on YouTube to confirm that. This was an upgrade that I really was determined to make happen. The pallet mounting system used before the Catspit version had issues with making the pallet level to the screen. This modification solved that problem. And again, it universalized the production and manufacturing of the entire product line. Later, it made sense to us that the Vista Series II and the Elite Series II should come standard with aluminum pallets. What size? Instead of the 14x16 size Ranar traditionally offered, I asked them to be 16x18 standard.

I was the first and only to offer a lifetime guarantee on the “compression spring.” This was a unique feature to the Ranar printing presses at the time. Compression springs do not break or fly into your face. They will last forever. Expansion springs need to be covered in a nylon or plastic sheath to prevent them from doing any harm if they snap and break. The old Cat was the first to point this out. Check out this old video I made at the factory when I was there for one of the many Long Beach ISS shows. Here you will see the compression spring and the old pre-Catspit pallet mounting setup. You will also see the rare Catspit branded equipment I was able to make happen at the time.

“Time is the fire in which we burn…”

Then I kept requesting a forced air flash cure unit that could do both water based inks and plastisol inks. I pushed for this one and let David and Peter design how it would work. Then again at an ISS show, I saw the first article which is a prototype. Dual forced air flash cure units. I think this video says it all.

How about the benchtop poster press? Ranar had all the components once we universalized all the bench presses to the floor presses. Therefore, I suggested putting these parts together. Hence, the Ranar poster press.

Do not forget the year I went to the ISS show and David broke out the classic muscle car. Catspit has always been about raw power. Not so much tech but simple know how.

The “Great Cat” has done a lot of shows in Long Beach with Ranar. Often, I requested the equipment featured in the Ranar booth. It was a lot of fun. I miss being with Ranar and meeting all our customers and viewers from YouTube.

I am here to help with any screen-printing equipment you may need. Just hit me up through my ecommerce site or give me a call. Yup. I answer the phone. There is a difference between Catspit and all other manufacturers or suppliers. It is the Catspit difference. Simple, effective, and cost efficient. Sales people are just that. Sales. Buy screen printing equipment from someone who screen printed for a living and cares about your success. My name and reputation are my ability to earn a living. Catspit will always surpass the manufacturers warranty. I am your protection and your support.
